When we all band together and demand better, we make a difference. And when we fight together, we win together.
By voting, we can elect lawmakers who have working people in mind and will fight for all of us.
Voting is the best way we can make our voices heard and ensure our elected officials are actually fighting for us and our families. AFSCME stands with these candidates because they will stand with us.
These elections are up to us. We can’t afford to sit by and let politicians ignore our needs. We all have a part to play.
Our pro-labor, pro-worker candidates this cycle are:
Jalen McKee-Rodriguez
San Antonio City Council District 2
Since Jalen was elected in 2021, he has been a fierce advocate for the people of San Antonio. He is committed to increasing access to rent forgiveness and affordable housing, growing our use of green energy, investing in community safety, making healthcare more obtainable, raising wages, and holding politicians accountable. Jalen is dedicated to investing in his community and uplifting the voices of San Antonians who are too often ignored.
Edward Mungia
San Antonio City Council District 4
Born and raised in District 4, Edward knows San Antonio. He has worked for the City Council for almost a decade, so he understands what kind of advocate San Antonians need. Edward wants to be your City Councilmember because he knows we need better access to city services, improved infrastructure, and real champions for a safer and healthier community. As a lifelong resident, Edward is the representative we need to stand up for us.
AFSCME also endorses these labor leaders:
